Wecome to this site about Cetrorelix BPH
The prostate is a gland that is a component of the male sexual organs. The prostate is mistakenly called the prostrate gland. Its most important role is to produce and then store a transparent liquid that is part of semen. A normal human prostate is a bit bigger than a shelled walnut. The prostate gland surrounds the urethra underneath the bladder. It is also located in front of the rectal region and a portion of it can be felt during a rectal exam or evaluation.
Inflammation of the prostate gland is called prostatitis. If the prostate becomes too large it can block the urine stream, making urination painful and difficult and in very severe cases totally impassable. Prostatitis can often be treated with antibiotic prescription medications, massage of the prostate or surgical procedures.
In older-aged men, the prostate can enlarge to the point where urination becomes difficult or impossible. This is referred to as benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH. It can be treated with medications or with surgical procedures that removes a portion of the prostate. One commonplace surgery used in such cases is called transurethral resection of the prostate (TUR or TURP).
Cancer of the prostate is one of the most frequent cancers affecting older men and a leading cause of dying. Consistent rectal exams are highly recommended to detect prostate cancer early. There is also a laboratory blood test that measures the concentration of a protein, PSA or Prostate Specific Antigen), which is, in normal men, quite low. Elevated bloodwork PSA results may highly suggest disease inside the prostate, whether prostatitis, bPH or prostate cancer. The PSA test cannot distinguish between them, but can be a reason for a physician to investigate with further tests. Prostate cancer is treated with hormonal manipulation (prevention of production of testosterone), radiation or even surgery. It has recently been observed that drugs including Docetaxel can sometimes be useful in the treatment of prostate cancer.
Stimulating the prostate in males is typically compared to stimulation of the G spot in females because prostate stimulation can result in a more powerful experience of orgasm. Prostate massage or prostate milking refers to massaging motions of the prostate either for medical value or strictly sexual purposes.
