Elevated pSA blood results might indicate a disease in the prostate, either prostatitis, bPH or cancer. The PSA test cannot distinguish between them, but can be a reason for your doctor to investigate with further tests. Prostate cancer is treated with hormone manipulation (prevention of production of testosterone), radiation or operations. It has only recently been detected that drugs including Docetaxel can sometimes be helpful in treating cancer.
