The PSA blood test cannot distinguish between these conditions, but can lead your physician to investigate more. Prostate cancer is treated with hormonal manipulation (prevention of production of testosterone), radiation or operations. It has only recently been uncovered that medicines like Docetaxel could be effective in treating cancer.
