The prostate is a gland that is an important part of the male sex organs. It is mistakenly called the prostrate. Prostate cancer is treated with hormone manipulation (preventing testosterone production), radiation or even surgical procedures. It has just recently been uncovered that drugs including Docetaxel can sometimes be effective in treating cancer.
