Here is information about estrogen & prostrate
The prostate is a gland that is a component of the masculine sex organs. The prostate gland is mistakenly called the prostrate, rather than prostate. The prostate gland's most significant job is to first secrete and then store a see-through liquid that is a vital part of seminal fluid (semen). A normal human's prostate gland is somewhat heftier in size than a walnut. It surrounds the urethra beneath the bladder. It is also positioned in front of the rectal area and a portion of it can be felt during the rectal exam.
Inflammation in the prostate is a gland that is known as prostatitis. If the prostate grows enlarged it can occlude urine flow, making urination difficult and very painful and in very extreme instances wholly impossible. Prostatitis can usually be treated with antibiotic drugs, prostate massage or surgical measures.
In older men, the prostate may grow to the point where urinating is difficult. This is called benign prostatic hyperplasia, commonly called BPH. It can be treated with different types of prescription medications or with surgery that removes part of the prostate. One common operation used in such cases is called transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP or TUR).
Cancer of the prostate gland is one of the most commonplace cancers that affects older-aged males and a leading cause of deaths. Regular rectal exams are highly recommended to find prostate cancer in the early stages. There is also a lab blood test that can measure the amount of a protein, Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA), which can be normally quite low. Elevated blood PSA results can suggest disorder within the prostate, either prostatitis, bPH or prostate cancer. The PSA test cannot distinguish between them, but can lead a physician to investigate with additional tests. Prostate cancer is treated with hormone manipulation (prevention of production of testosterone), radiation or surgical procedures. It has recently been found that medicines like Docetaxel are useful in the treatment of prostate cancer.
Stimulation of the prostate in males is typically compared to stimulation of the G spot in females because prostate stimulation can lead to more powerful sexual climax. Prostate massage or prostate milking refers to massage of the prostate either for medical value or strictly for sexual fulfillment.
