Welcome. Here is a site about norris prostate surgery
The prostate is a vital part of the male sex organs. The prostate is mistakenly known as the prostrate gland. The prostate's most important job is to first secrete and then store a clear liquid that is a component of seminal fluid or semen. A normal human's prostate is slightly bigger in size than a shelled walnut. It surrounds the urethra underneath the urinary bladder. It is situated in front of the rectal region and a portion of it can be felt during the course of the rectal part of the exam.
Inflammation of the prostate is a gland that is called prostatitis. If the prostate grows too much in size it can jam up the urine stream, making urination difficult and painful and in severe cases completely impassable. Prostatitis can often be treated with antibiotic prescription medications, prostate massage or surgery.
In men who are elderly, the prostate may enlarge to the point where urination is difficult. This is termed benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH. It can be treated with different types of medicines or with even surgical procedures that removes a component of the prostate. One common surgical procedure used in such cases is called transurethral prostate resection (TURP or TUR).
Prostate cancer is one of the most commonplace cancers to strike older-aged men and a major cause of death. Regular rectal exams are recommended to discover prostate cancer before it spreads. There is also also a lab blood test that measures the amount of a protein, PSA or Prostate Specific Antigen), which is, in normal men, very low. Elevated blood PSA results could signal disorder within the prostate, whether prostatitis, benign hyperplasia or a cancerous prostate. The PSA test cannot distinguish between them, but can be a reason for a physician to investigate with additional tests. Prostate cancer is treated with hormone manipulation (preventing testosterone production), radiation or even operations. It has only recently been found that drugs like Docetaxel may be helpful in treating cancer.
Stimulation of the prostate in men has been compared to stimulation of the G spot in females because prostate stimulation can lead to more powerful experience of orgasm. Prostate massage or milking refers to massaging motions of the prostate whether for clinical or strictly sexual purposes.
