Welcome. Here is a site about prostate cancer cryogenic surgery

The prostate gland is part of the masculine sexual organs. The prostate gland is mistakenly called the prostrate gland. The prostate's predominant function is to produce and store a clear liquid that is an important part of semen, or seminal fluid. A healthy human's prostate is somewhat heftier in size than a shelled walnut. The prostate gland surrounds the urethra just below the bladder. It is located in front of the rectal area and a portion of it can be felt during the course of a rectal exam.

Inflammation of the prostate gland is termed prostatitis. If the prostate grows too enlarged it can stop up the urine stream, making urination very painful and difficult and in extreme cases wholly impassable. Prostatitis is commonly treated with antibiotic prescription drugs, prostate massage or surgery.

In men who are elderly, the prostate may grow to the point where urinating becomes difficult or impossible. This is known as bPH or benign prostatic hyperplasia. It can be treated with the use of medicinal drugs or with surgery that removes a component of the prostate. One commonplace surgical procedure used in these types of cases is called transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP or TUR).

Prostatic gland cancer is one of the most common cancers that affects elderly males and a leading cause of dying. Regular rectal exams are recommended to detect prostate cancer in the early stages. There is also also a blood test that measures the concentration of a protein, Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA), which is, in normal men, very low. Elevated test results could signify disease within the prostate, whether prostatitis, benign hyperplasia or prostate cancer. The PSA blood test cannot distinguish between them, but can be grounds for your physician to investigate more. Prostate cancer is treated with hormone manipulation (preventing testosterone production), radiation or surgical measures. It has just recently been detected that medications like Docetaxel may be effective in treating cancer.

Stimulation of the prostate gland in men has been compared to stimulation of the G spot in females because prostate stimulation can cause more powerful sexual climax. Prostate massage or prostate milking refers to massaging motions of the prostate whether for health-related or for strictly sexual fulfillment.
