The prostate is really a gland that is a vital part of the male sexual organs. The prostate gland is mistakenly known as the prostrate. Prostate cancer is treated with hormonal manipulation (preventing testosterone production), radiation or even surgery. It has recently been uncovered that drugs including Docetaxel can sometimes be helpful in treating a cancerous prostate.
