The prostate is a gland that is a component of the sex organs of the male. The prostate is mistakenly called the prostrate. Prostate cancer is treated with hormonal manipulation (preventing testosterone production), radiation or surgical measures. It has just recently been observed that drugs including Docetaxel can sometimes be useful in the treatment of prostate cancer.
