Welcome to our site about prostrate cancer cryotherapy
The prostate is really a gland that is part of the masculine sexual organs. The prostate is mistakenly known as the prostrate. The prostate gland's overriding function is to produce and then store a transparent liquid that is part of semen. A non-diseased human prostate is a little bit heftier in size than a shelled walnut. The prostate gland surrounds the urethra beneath the urinary bladder. It is also positioned in front of the rectal region and a portion of it can be felt during the normal course of a rectal exam or evaluation.
Inflammation of the prostate gland is called prostatitis. If the prostate grows too enlarged it can stop up urine flow, making urination painful and difficult and in extreme instances wholly impassable. Prostatitis is commonly treated with antibiotic drugs, massage of the prostate or surgical measures.
In men who are elderly, the prostate may enlarge to the point where urination becomes difficult or impossible. This is referred to as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). It can be treated with medicines or with surgical procedures that removes a portion of the prostate. One very typical operation used in these types of cases is called transurethral resection of the prostate (TUR or TURP).
Prostatic gland cancer is one of the most commonplace cancers that affects older-aged males and a major cause of deaths. Consistent rectal exams are medically recommended to uncover prostate cancer before it spreads. There is also also a laboratory blood test that can measure the concentration of a protein, Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA), which is, in normal men, quite low. Elevated bloodwork PSA results may signify disorder in the prostate, whether prostatitis, benign hyperplasia or prostate cancer. The PSA blood test cannot distinguish between these conditions, but can be a reason for your physician to investigate more thoroughly. Prostate cancer is treated with hormone manipulation (preventing testosterone production), radiation or even surgical procedures. It has recently been noticed that medicines including Docetaxel could be helpful in the treatment of a cancerous prostate.
Stimulation of the prostate gland in males has been compared to stimulation of the G spot in females because prostate stimulation can lead to more powerful orgasm. Prostate massage or prostate milking refers to massage of the prostate either for health-related or just for sexual fulfillment.
