Here is a webpage about prostrate cists
The prostate is an important part of the male sexual organs. The prostate gland is mistakenly known as the prostrate gland. The prostate's main function is to produce and then store a transparent fluid that is a vital component of seminal fluid. A normal human prostate is a little bit larger in size than a shelled walnut. The prostate surrounds the urethra below the urinary bladder. It is also situated in front of the rectum and a portion of it can be felt while undergoing a rectal examination.
Inflammation of the prostate gland is known as prostatitis. If the prostate grows enlarged it can jam up the flow of urine, making urination very painful and more difficult and in very extreme instances completely impassable. Prostatitis is commonly treated with antibiotic prescription medications, massage of the prostate or operations.
In men who are elderly, the prostate may grow to the point where urination becomes difficult or impossible. This is referred to as benign prostatic hyperplasia, commonly called BPH. It can be treated with different types of medicinal drugs or with operations that removes a portion of the prostate. One very typical surgery used in such cases is called transurethral prostate resection (TUR or TURP).
Prostatic cancer is one of the most common cancers to affect older-aged males and a major cause of dying. Consistent rectal exams are recommended to detect prostate cancer early. There is also a laboratory blood evaluation that will measure the amount of a protein, Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA), which can be normally very low. Elevated blood PSA results can be an indicator of disease in the prostate, whether prostatitis, benign hyperplasia or prostate cancer. The PSA blood test cannot distinguish between them, but can lead a doctor to investigate with further tests. Prostate cancer is treated with hormone manipulation (preventing testosterone production), radiation or surgery. It has recently been noted that medicines such as Docetaxel can sometimes be helpful in the treatment of a cancerous prostate.
Stimulation of the prostate in men has been compared to stimulation of the G spot in females because prostate stimulation can cause more powerful orgasm. Prostate massage or milking refers to massage of the prostate either for clinical value or just for sexual fulfillment.
