This site is about prostrate problems causes
The prostate is a gland that is a vital part of the masculine sex organs. The prostate is mistakenly known as the prostrate, rather than prostate. The prostate gland's principle function is to produce and then store a transparent liquid that is a vital component of semen (seminal fluid). A sound human's prostate is a bit bigger than a shelled walnut. The prostate surrounds the urethra underneath the bladder. It is also positioned in front of the rectal area and a portion of it can be felt during the course of a rectal exam.
Inflammation of the prostate is a gland that is referred to as prostatitis. If the prostate gets too enlarged it can block the flow of urine, making urination very painful and difficult and in very extreme instances entirely impassable. Prostatitis is commonly treated with antibiotic prescription drugs, massage of the prostate or even surgery.
In men who are older, the prostate can grow to the point where urination becomes difficult or impossible. This is named benign prostatic hyperplasia, commonly called BPH. It can be treated with different types of medication or with surgical procedures that removes a portion of the prostate. One common operation used in such cases is called transurethral prostate resection (TUR or TURP).
Prostatic cancer is one of the most common cancers that strikes older males and a leading cause of dying. Regular rectal exams are recommended to find prostate cancer in the early stages. There is also a blood test that will measure the amount of a protein, PSA or Prostate Specific Antigen), which is normally very low. Raised pSA blood results could suggest disorder in the prostate, whether prostatitis, bPH or prostate cancer. The PSA blood test cannot distinguish between these conditions, but can be grounds for a doctor to investigate with further tests. Prostate cancer is treated with hormonal manipulation (prevention of production of testosterone), radiation or surgery. It has only recently been uncovered that drugs such as Docetaxel can sometimes be helpful in treating prostate cancer.
Stimulation of the prostate in males is frequently compared to stimulation of the G spot in females because prostate stimulation can lead to more powerful sexual climax. Prostate massage or milking refers to massage of the prostate whether for health-related or strictly sexual fulfillment.
