Welcome. Here is a site about robatic prostatectomy
The prostate is a vital part of the male sex organs. It is mistakenly called the prostrate, rather than prostate. Its most significant role is to produce and store a see-through fluid that is an important part of seminal fluid or semen. A non-diseased human prostate is a bit heftier in size than a shelled walnut. The prostate surrounds the urethra below the urinary bladder. It is located in front of the rectum and part of it can be felt during the normal course of a rectal evaluation.
Inflammation in the prostate is a gland that is termed prostatitis. If the prostate becomes enlarged too much it can impede the flow of urine, making urination very painful and difficult and in extreme situations entirely impassable. Prostatitis is commonly treated with antibiotic prescription medications, massage of the prostate or surgical procedures.
In older-aged men, the prostate often enlarges to the point where urinating becomes difficult or impossible. This is commonly known as benign prostatic hyperplasia, commonly termed BPH. It can be treated with the use of medication or with even surgery that removes a portion of the prostate. One common surgery used in such cases is called transurethral resection of the prostate (TUR or TURP).
Prostate cancer is one of the most frequent cancers that affects elderly males and a major cause of death. Regular rectal exams are recommended to find prostate cancer before it spreads. There is also a laboratory blood test that measures the amount of a protein, PSA or Prostate Specific Antigen), which is, in normal men, quite low. Raised bloodwork PSA results can highly suggest disease inside the prostate, whether prostatitis, benign hyperplasia or a cancerous prostate. The PSA blood test cannot distinguish between these conditions, but can cause your doctor to investigate further. Prostate cancer is treated with hormone manipulation (preventing testosterone production), radiation or even surgery. It has just recently been uncovered that drugs including Docetaxel can sometimes be helpful in treating prostate cancer.
Stimulating the prostate gland in males has been compared to stimulation of the G spot in females because prostate stimulation can cause more powerful sexual climax. Prostate massage or milking refers to massaging motions of the prostate whether for medical value or just for sexual purposes.
