Wecome to this site about sex after prostrate radical robotics
The prostate is really a gland that is a component of the sex organs of the male. The prostate is mistakenly called the prostrate, rather than prostate. Its primary role is to first secrete and then store a transparent liquid that is a vital part of semen (seminal fluid). A non-diseased human prostate gland is slightly heftier in size than a shelled walnut. The prostate surrounds the urethra beneath the bladder. It is positioned in front of the rectal area and part of it can be felt during the normal course of a rectal examination.
Inflammation in the prostate gland is named prostatitis. If the prostate grows too enlarged it can block urine flow, making urination very painful and more difficult and in very extreme situations totally impossible. Prostatitis can usually be treated with antibiotic drugs, prostate massage or surgical measures.
In older men, the prostate may grow to the point where urinating becomes difficult or impossible. This is referred to as benign prostatic hyperplasia, commonly called BPH. It can be treated with the use of medicines or with surgery that removes a portion of the prostate. One very typical surgery used in such cases is called transurethral prostate resection (TUR or TURP).
Cancer of the prostate is one of the most commonplace cancers to strike elderly men and a leading cause of death. Regular rectal exams are recommended to pick up prostate cancer before it spreads. There is also a lab blood test that will measure the concentration of a protein, Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA), which should normally be quite low. Elevated bloodwork PSA results might suggest disease inside the prostate, either prostatitis, benign hyperplasia or cancer. The PSA blood test cannot distinguish between them, but can be grounds for your doctor to investigate with additional tests. Prostate cancer is treated with hormonal manipulation (prevention of production of testosterone), radiation or even surgery. It has only recently been noted that drugs including Docetaxel can sometimes be useful in the treatment of a cancerous prostate.
Stimulation of the prostate in males is frequently compared to stimulation of the G spot in females because prostate stimulation can lead to more powerful sexual climax. Prostate massage or milking refers to massage of the prostate either for clinical or strictly sexual purposes.
