This page is all about symptoms of hemorrhids and prostate

The prostate is a gland that is an important part of the sex organs of the male. The prostate gland is mistakenly called the prostrate, rather than prostate. The prostate gland's primary role is to first secrete and then store a clear liquid that is a vital component of semen. A normal man's prostate is somewhat heftier in size than a shelled walnut. The prostate gland surrounds the urethra underneath the urinary bladder. It is also located in front of the rectum and part of it can be felt while undergoing a rectal evaluation.

Inflammation of the prostate is a gland that is referred to as prostatitis. If the prostate becomes too large it can block urine flow, making urination difficult and very painful and in very extreme situations wholly impossible. Prostatitis is treated with antibiotic drugs, massage of the prostate or operations.

In older males, the prostate often enlarges to the point where urinating becomes difficult or impossible. This is named benign prostatic hyperplasia, commonly termed BPH. It can be treated with the use of medicines or with even surgery that removes a component of the prostate. One common surgical procedure used in such cases is called transurethral prostate resection (TUR or TURP).

Prostatic gland cancer is one of the most frequent cancers that strikes older males and a major cause of dying. Consistent rectal exams are medically recommended to find prostate cancer in the early stages. There is also also a blood test that will measure the concentration of a protein, PSA or Prostate Specific Antigen), which should normally be very low. Elevated bloodwork PSA results can suggest disorder within the prostate, whether prostatitis, benign hyperplasia or prostate cancer. The PSA test cannot distinguish between them, but can lead your doctor to investigate further. Prostate cancer is treated with hormonal manipulation (prevention of production of testosterone), radiation or surgical procedures. It has just recently been found that medications like Docetaxel can be useful in the treatment of a cancerous prostate.

Stimulation of the prostate in men is typically compared to stimulation of the G spot in females because prostate stimulation can result in a more powerful experience of orgasm. Prostate massage or milking refers to massaging motions of the prostate whether for medical value or just for sexual purposes.
