There is also a blood evaluation that will measure the amount of a protein, Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA), which is normally very low. Raised test results might signal disease in the prostate, either prostatitis, bPH or a cancerous prostate. The PSA blood test cannot distinguish between these conditions, but can lead your physician to investigate more closely. Prostate cancer is treated with hormonal manipulation (preventing testosterone production), radiation or even surgical procedures. It has just recently been noticed that medicines such as Docetaxel can be helpful in treating cancer.

Stimulation of the prostate gland in males is often compared to stimulation of the G spot in females because prostate stimulation can result in a more powerful experience of orgasm. Prostate massage or prostate milking refers to massaging motions of the prostate either for clinical or for strictly sexual purposes.
